Soft chocolate cake

Today Quandopasta celebrates an important milestone: the 100th recipe!
Yes, 100 recipes al tasty and simple! Should the 100th recipebe different?! Here we are, the soft chocolate cake!

Very simple to make, soft chocolate cake is a guaranteed success for every occasion: perfect then if accompanied with fresh fruit!

Ingredients

200 g dark chocolate 70%
150 g butter
150 g sugar
150 g flour for cake (no self rising)
1 teaspoon baking powder
4 eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract
1 tablespoon rum

Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler. Let cool.

Place egg in a mixer bowl with sugar, and beat at high speed until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add the sifted flour and baking powder to the egg mixture using a spatula with gently circular movement from top to bottom.

Mix vanilla extract and rum in the cooled melted chocolate, and then embed it either gently with the rest of the dough.

Pour into a greased and lightly floured tin, then bake in hot oven at 180° C for 25 minutes.

Serve the cake with whipped cream and fresh fruit (but also alone is good) and cutting it into small cubes, or using a shape cutter. Of course we have chosen the star symbol of Quandopasta! : )

    Congrats with this 100th recipe, it looks like a delicious and almost “fluffy” cake: and with chocolate, that’s always a good choice;) !

    Oh my, this came out soo good! The moment I folded the melted chocolate in the batter I wanted to eat it as it was, it looked so good. Great recipe, thanks for sharing!
